Our Popular Travel Magazines Are Written, Photographed & Distributed By Actual Humans... Who Live In Alaska
Here's some news that every person who runs an Alaskan business should know:
Artificial Intelligence ("AI") has come to Alaska's tourism outreach. And it's crazy.
There's actually a newly-minted travel publication, coming from another country – Canada – that uses AI to write its text about Alaska.
And the result? The "map of Denali" is not a map of the national park, but a map of the Princess Hotel parking lot across from the Denali boardwalk.
The "mileage charts" all start backwards in Fort Nelson, Canada. Anchorage is 1,313 miles from Fort Nelson – a place that no human in Alaskan counts as the starting point for our mile markers.
And Denali Park (in this brave new AI world) is full of pine trees and waterfalls.
Thanks for using the Bearfoot & Denali Summer Times as forms of outreach to visitors. We're 100% real. And we work for you.
